 Sartor NYC is a boutique apparel design studio and manufacturer, with offices in New York and Istanbul. We have two primary business lines: we design and manufacturer custom uniforms for hotels and restaurants; and we work with new and emerging apparel brands as a private label manufacturer to design, develop, and produce their products.
 
 
 
 
 
 Think of us as a manufacturer combined with a fashion design consultancy. Our clients are primarily in the US and Europe.
 
 
 
 
 
 We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team. The role involves a combination of accounting, financial reporting, and HR administrative responsibilities. Key duties include:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Accounting &amp; Finance Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Managing daily accounting tasks, including supplier and client invoices, bank statements, petty cash, expenses, and month-end bookings
 </li>
 <li>
 Preparing monthly and annual financial closings
 </li>
 <li>
 Creating monthly financial reports
 </li>
 <li>
 Issuing client invoices (both domestic and export sales), including intercompany billing
 </li>
 <li>
 Handling all bank and cash transactions
 </li>
 <li>
 Reconciling all accounts (vendors, customers, salaries, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaising with external auditors, tax consultants, tax authorities, and other relevant institutions
 </li>
 <li>
 Working closely with the company&rsquo;s CPA
 </li>
 <li>
 Performing general administrative tasks (mail handling, petty cash management, daily supply procurement)
 </li>
 <li>
 Organizing and archiving financial documents for easy access
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 HR Administrative Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Managing recruitment and on-boarding processes
 </li>
 <li>
 Organizing and updating personnel files
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitoring and recording paid/unpaid leaves and employee medical reports; reporting on daily/weekly/monthly basis to management.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Residence in Istanbul
 </li>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in a related field
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production company
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience in cost accounting, ideally in the manufacturing sector
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of Turkish fiscal law and IFRS
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and reporting skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 This role will report to our Director of Operations, also based in Istanbul.
