This role is intentionally structured to support two candidate profiles:<ul><li>Early-career designers (&asymp;2&ndash;3 years) with a strong technical foundation and a desire to grow</li><li>More experienced designers (&asymp;4&ndash;7+ years) pursuing licensure and long-term leadership</li></ul>You will work directly under a licensed Senior Landscape Architect who is approaching retirement, providing rare access to mentorship, responsibility, and a clearly defined licensure track.Relocation to Oklahoma City is available for the right candidate.Why This Role Is Different<ul><li>Direct mentorship under a licensed Landscape Architect with intent to support licensure</li><li>Exposure to all phases of design-build, not just production drafting</li><li>Increasing project ownership tied to experience and performance</li><li>Compensation growth aligned with responsibility and licensure progress</li><li>Opportunity to grow into a licensed Landscape Architect and senior design role as</li><li>leadership transitions</li></ul>Position Overview:You will contribute across a wide range of high-end residential projects. Responsibilities will scale with experience, ranging from technical design and documentation to estimating, client interaction, and construction coordination.Key Responsibilities:Design &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Produce conceptual plans, schematic designs, planting plans, and construction documents</li><li>Develop AutoCAD or Dynascape drawings, SketchUp models, and Lumion renderings</li><li>Assist with grading concepts, detailing, and design coordination</li></ul>Estimating &amp; Design Support<ul><li>Assist with cost estimating for landscape, hardscape, planting, lighting, and site elements</li><li>Prepare 3D visuals, presentation materials, and client-ready deliverables</li><li>Revise plans based on internal and client feedback</li></ul>Project Coordination<ul><li>Prepare takeoffs, material lists, and handoff packages for production teams</li><li>Perform site measurements, as-built documentation, and project photography</li><li>Attend select site meetings to ensure design intent is executed accurately</li></ul>Client Interaction<ul><li>Participate in client meetings alongside senior staff</li><li>Communicate professionally and represent Scapes, Inc. with confidence</li></ul>Qualifications (Required)<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA)</li><li>2&ndash;7+ years of professional landscape design experience (level dependent)</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD (or Dynascape), SketchUp, Lumion, and Microsoft Office</li><li>Strong design, drafting, and digital visualization skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced design-build environment</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Experience in high-end residential or estate-level projects</li><li>Familiarity with construction standards, grading, and planting design</li><li>Interest in pursuing or continuing progress toward professional licensure</li></ul>*Compensation &amp; BenefitsCompensation Range: $60,000 &ndash; $100,000+Final compensation will be based on experience, technical skill, project responsibility, and licensure progression.Benefits Include:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Paid vacation and holidays</li><li>Year-end performance bonus</li><li>Professional development and licensure support</li><li>Long-term advancement opportunity within a design-driven firm</li></ul>RelocationWe welcome qualified candidates from outside Oklahoma.
