This role is a mix of insurance billing, patient account support, and hands-on clinic assistance during patient care hours. The right person will be friendly, dependable, organized, and confident working with insurance details.What You&rsquo;ll Do✨ Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner ✨ Post insurance payments, patient payments, and EOBs to patient accounts ✨ Follow up with insurance companies on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims ✨ Help patients understand basic insurance details such as copays, deductibles, and coinsurance ✨ Set up and maintain patient insurance files in our EHR/practice management system ✨ Verify that insurance information is entered correctly so claims are billed with minimal errors ✨ Communicate with patients about balances, payments, and insurance questions in a kind and professional way ✨ Answer phone calls and help direct patients during clinic hours ✨ Assist with patient flow and progress checks during appointments ✨ Support the chiropractors and team wherever needed ✨ Keep patient information organized, accurate, and confidentialWhat We&rsquo;re Looking For✔ Someone with strong attention to detail who takes pride in doing things correctly ✔ A people-person who enjoys helping patients and making them feel cared for ✔ Experience with insurance billing, medical billing, chiropractic billing, or claims processing is preferred ✔ Someone who understands, or is willing to learn more deeply, how deductibles, copays, coinsurance, EOBs, and insurance claims work ✔ A confident communicator who can speak with patients and insurance companies professionally ✔ A problem solver who takes initiative and follows through ✔ Someone who can multitask while staying calm and organized ✔ A team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed ✔ A positive attitude and a compassionate heartPreferred ExperienceExperience in any of the following areas is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person:<ul><li>Medical, chiropractic, dental, or insurance billing</li><li>Posting EOBs and payments</li><li>Working denied or rejected claims</li><li>Insurance verification or benefits checks</li><li>Patient account management</li><li>EHR or practice management software</li><li>Customer service in a healthcare setting</li></ul>Schedule: The schedule below reflects the required clinic hours and team training times. This position will also include additional insurance billing hours outside of clinic hours.
