Production BakerScout Coffee Co. &mdash; San Luis Obispo, CAScout Coffee is looking for a Production Baker to join our in-house bakery team. This role focuses on preparing and baking a variety of pastries and baked goods that are served across our caf&eacute; locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative kitchen team.At Scout, all of our baked goods are made in-house. Our bakery produces pastries, cookies, quick breads, laminated doughs, and seasonal items daily to support our caf&eacute;s in San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.Position Details<ul><li>Shift Start: 6AM/7:30 AM</li><li>Hours: Full-time</li><li>Location: Morro Bay, CA</li><li>Schedule: Weekdays and weekends may be required</li><li>Compensation: $19 + tips</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and baked goods following Scout recipes and standards</li><li>Execute daily production lists efficiently to support caf&eacute; needs</li><li>Assist with dough preparation, shaping, baking, and finishing pastries</li><li>Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all products</li><li>Accurately scale and measure ingredients</li><li>Assist with packaging and organizing products for caf&eacute; distribution</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace</li><li>Follow all health department and food safety standards</li><li>Communicate clearly with the bakery team to ensure smooth production flow</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely</li><li>Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team</li><li>Reliable transportation and punctuality</li></ul>Preferred (but not required)<ul><li>Previous bakery or kitchen experience</li><li>Experience with pastry or production baking</li><li>Culinary or baking school background</li></ul>About Scout CoffeeScout Coffee is a multi-location specialty coffee company based in San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.
