Overview: Work directly with busy Orthopedic Surgeon in medical office environment. Assist in the running of Orthopedic Clinic, medical documentation, and clinic workflow. Excellent opportunity for a career in healthcare administration or for a pre-medical or pre-PA student to gain exposure to the medical field.Responsibilities: - Gather medical records for review by the physician to prepare for each patient encounter- Take notes during patient encounters, documenting the patient&rsquo;s history, physical exam, medical discussion and complete medical documentation for each patient encounter- Become familiar with the electronic medical records system and relevant medical terminology- Communicate with physicians, medical assistants, patients, and other office staff in a professional manner- Assist with other clerical tasks under the supervision of the physician to ensure patient flow and improve physician productivity and efficiencyQualifications: - High school diploma required- College degree or credits preferred- Excellent writing skills.- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills- Excellent organizational skills- Advanced computer proficiencyJob Type: Full timeJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Typing: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
