Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will serve as a bridge between students, families, and school staff to promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Your expertise in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and child welfare will help address the social and emotional needs of students, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to thrive academically and personally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents while fostering a positive school climate.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide direct social work services to students, including counseling and behavioral support tailored to individual needs.</li><li>Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective strategies for supporting students&rsquo; social-emotional development.</li><li>Conduct assessments related to child protective services, child welfare, special education needs, and crisis management situations.</li><li>Implement crisis intervention techniques during emergencies or behavioral incidents, ensuring student safety and well-being.</li><li>Facilitate conflict management sessions and cultural diversity counseling to promote understanding and respect among students.</li><li>Assist students facing challenges related to behavioral health or family issues by connecting them with community resources and support services.</li><li>Document casework activities accurately while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical standards.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.</li><li>Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker or equivalent credential.</li><li>Proven experience working with children in educational or community settings; experience in special education is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong knowledge of child protective services procedures, crisis intervention strategies, and crisis management protocols.</li><li>Familiarity with behavioral health issues affecting children and adolescents, including trauma-informed care practices.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.</li><li>Ability to manage conflicts professionally while demonstrating empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
