This role manages the accounting department and is accountable for the monthly close, financial reporting, and overall integrity of financial information across a growing global consulting organization.The Controller will serve as a key business partner to executive leadership, providing financial insights, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires a hands-on, self-directed leader with strong technical accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and experience operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.Functions Overseen<ul><li>Billing</li><li>Accounting</li><li>Tax</li><li>Expense Management</li><li>Payroll (in partnership with HR)</li></ul>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage the accumulation, consolidation, and accuracy of all financial data required for reporting consolidated business results</li><li>Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy</li><li>Prepare and deliver financial statements and management reports, providing insights to support executive decision-making</li><li>Direct and oversee the global accounting function, including general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting</li><li>Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls</li><li>Oversee payroll coordination in partnership with HR, including bonus and compensation-related processes &ndash; payroll is owned by HR</li><li>Manage treasury activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow optimization</li><li>Oversee tax compliance, statutory filings, and coordination with external advisors</li><li>Lead the year-end audit process, including preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and auditor coordination</li><li>Analyze financial and operational trends, identifying risks and opportunities requiring management attention</li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes</li><li>Partner with leadership on business performance metrics including revenue, utilization, and EBITDA</li><li>Assist with acquisitions, integrations, and system implementations, including financial reporting alignment</li><li>Ensure strong internal controls and proactively address any financial irregularities or risks</li><li>Develop, lead, and mentor accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance management</li><li>Provide support for board reporting and executive-level financial presentations</li></ul>Leadership and Management Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team</li><li>Oversee performance management, training, and professional development for direct and indirect reports</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence</li><li>Ensure alignment with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred</li><li>8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role</li><li>Experience in professional services, consulting, accounting or multi-entity/global environments preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles (US GAAP), and internal controls</li><li>Experience with global operations, including multi-country payroll and tax considerations</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing monthly close, audits, and financial reporting processes</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines</li><li>High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; experience with ERP systems preferred</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business insights</li></ul>Pay: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) 3% Match</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Atlanta, GA 30361
