This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth engagement.Duties<ul><li>Plan and facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities including sports, arts, theater, and educational games to ensure an exciting camp experience.</li><li>Manage group dynamics through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques to maintain a safe and respectful environment.</li><li>Provide first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all campers at all times.</li><li>Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by implementing inclusive strategies aligned with childhood development principles.</li><li>Collaborate with fellow staff members to coordinate daily schedules, monitor progress, and adapt activities to meet diverse needs.</li><li>Foster positive relationships with children by encouraging participation, promoting teamwork, and offering guidance rooted in Christian counseling or similar supportive approaches.</li><li>Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding camper well-being and camp activities as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management to create a nurturing yet structured atmosphere.</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification prior to camp start date is required.</li><li>Knowledge of early childhood education, childhood development, or special education enhances your ability to support diverse learners.</li><li>Passion for working with children and a positive attitude that inspires confidence and enthusiasm.</li><li>Ability to lead physical activities such as sports coaching or outdoor games safely and effectively.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members in a professional manner.
