<div>We are seeking a high-performing Office Manager / Senior Accounting Administrator to lead financial and administrative operations for a growing construction company. This is a hands-on, high-impact role designed for someone who can operate at a Controller level while managing day-to-day execution across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Own and manage full-cycle payroll and payroll tax compliance for field and office staff.</li><li>
Lead HR administration including onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee records.</li><li>
Oversee construction purchasing and job administration, ensuring accurate cost tracking and vendor coordination.</li><li>
Maintain and reconcile accounting, payroll, and project management systems (e.g., ComputerEase, QuickBooks, etc.).</li><li>
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple related entities with high accuracy.</li><li>
Process and reconcile intercompany transactions monthly.</li><li>
Manage preparation of monthly internal financial statements, including job cost analysis, variance reporting, and cash flow tracking.</li><li>
Partner with leadership on financial visibility, reporting, and operational insights.</li><li>
Coordinate year-end close and work directly with external bookkeeping and accounting firms.</li><li>
Manage insurance operations including COIs, renewals, compliance tracking, and claims.</li><li>
Maintain company licenses and update as needed to support ongoing compliance and business operations.</li><li>
Manage corporate-level administrative needs including licensing, paperwork, business accounts, and related compliance documentation.</li><li>
Lead end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accurate billing, timely cash application, deposit management, and reconciliation of customer accounts.</li><li>
Oversee and execute the full Accounts Payable function, including vendor disbursements, documentation control, and reconciliation support</li><li>
Manage implementation of system process automation.</li><li>
Evaluate and analyze expenses and make recommendations to executive management on cost-saving measures.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office management</li><li>
Strong experience in the construction industry (REQUIRED)</li><li>
Deep understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and multi-entity accounting</li><li>
Experience managing payroll, financials, and intercompany transactions</li><li>
Ability to operate independently and take ownership of financial processes</li><li>
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills</li><li>
Proficiency in accounting systems (ComputerEase, QuickBooks, or similar)</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller role</li><li>
Experience with construction and service delivery software</li><li>
Accounting degree (preferred but not required)</li></ul>
