JOB LOCATION : Main Campus

SCHEDULE: Full Time, Varied Hours/Shift,
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible to set up cash register, beverage station, self serve area and the tables, ring sales and make change. Prep breakfast, lunch, and dinner item as needed. Check orders for accuracy. Keep condiments, napkins and utensils stocked. Clean tables, chairs, floors swept and self serve area in order also, work area must be kept clean. Must be familiar with grill and deep fryer. Assist with food orders, inventories, checking deliveries and over all cleanliness of AllSpice area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES:<ul><li>
High school diploma preferred.</li><li>
Ability to read, write and perform simple math.</li><li>
Professional appearance.</li><li>
Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.</li><li>

Requires extensive standing and walking. Requires lifting and bending using correct techniques. Able to lift up to 30 lbs. Exposed to hazard of burns and cuts due to working with hot equipment, sharp knives, and meat slicer. Exposure to infectious material and hazardous chemicals.

JOB LOCATION : SGMC Patient Financial Services
DEPARTMENT: REVENUE CYCLE MEDICAL GROUP 
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8-5
POSITION SUMMARY
Abstracts ICD-10 and CPT codes for Diagnosis and Procedures for professional services. Serves as a mentor to Professional Coders I and Professional Coder II. Reviews and analyzes medical records verifying and coding the diagnosis, evaluation and management service, minor procedures, or other codes required for the completeness and accuracy of the record. Additionally, will code and/or review principal diagnosis, co-morbidities, complications, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, any applicable supply, medication, and injectable drugs. Research coding guidelines and report to management any material to ensure accurate coding practices. Maintains communication with Management, Practice Manager, and Provider to ensure timely notification of identified documentation issues. Interacts with other team members of the revenue cycle and provider clinics. Responsible for continuing education of all clinical staff members and providers. Must have highly effective and professional written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of legal, regulatory and policy compliance issues regarding medical coding, billing, and documentation. Maintains an accuracy score of 95% or higher for CPT and ICD-10 coding. Responsible for attending all mandatory education sessions and continuing education credits required to maintain CPC certification. Must be able to meet competing deadlines, be highly organized, goal driven, and work well with others.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES<ul><li>
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS, CCS-P).</li><li>
Previous coding experience required.</li><li>
Specialty certification through AAPC or Ahima highly desired.</li><li>
Proficiency in multispecialty E/M and bedside procedure coding required.</li><li>
Proficiency in at least 1 specialty surgical coding required, (multispecialty surgical coding is desired).</li><li>
Experience working in a physician office preferred.</li><li>
High School graduate or equivalent.</li><li>
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT required.</li><li>
Good communication skills essential.</li><li>
Medical Office setting experience preferred.</li><li>
Time management skills.</li><li>
Demonstrates initiative to provide quality of services and improve efficiencies.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Teams.</li></ul>
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Coder may spend long hours working at computer terminal. Must be able to see and read names, numbers, and colors. The Coder is subject to high stress levels. The coder must have and maintain reliable high-speed internet and is able to agree to organizations IT Security policies for remote access work.

JOB LOCATION : Main Campus
DEPARTMENT: PHLEBOTOMY 
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 3a-11:30a with rotating weekends
POSITION SUMMARY:
Obtain and process specimens from inpatients and outpatients according to SGMC Health laboratory policy/procedures using correct and strict patient identification and in sufficient sample quantity for the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician. Exposure to biohazardous specimens and/or patients, needles, standard medical equipment to perform phlebotomy is required. Responsible for accurate entry of laboratory requests, patient demographics, and billing information using the hospital&rsquo;s Lab system and HBOC system. Is a Public Relations representative from the Laboratory to the Laboratory's customers. Perform various other non-routine departmental support activities as directed by Supervisor. Transport patient specimens of UN3373 / Category B type from outpatient customers to the Laboratory, using SGMC Health Lab vehicles. Will NOT transport UN 2814 or UN 2900 samples or narcotics.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES: 
<ul><li>
High school graduate or GED preferred.</li><li>
Prior experience in phlebotomy or medical assistance training preferred, certified training in phlebotomy preferred.</li><li>
Current in CPR certification.</li><li>
Competence in phlebotomy, general office skills, and medical terminology.</li><li>
Demonstrate manual dexterity, specifically hand-eye coordination.</li><li>
Demonstrate accuracy, and attention to detail in performing data entry.</li><li>
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, but frequent walking is also required.</li><li>
Effective communication skills in dealing with the public, physicians and other hospital staff are required.</li><li>
Temperament suited to short cycle repetitive work.</li><li>
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide phlebotomy for laboratory testing appropriate to the age of the patients seen in their assigned area.</li><li>
Must be able to assess and interpret data or signs about the patient&rsquo;s status in order to identify each patient&rsquo;s age specific needs and provide the care needed by our patient groups (i.e., neonate, pediatric, adolescent and/or geriatric).</li><li>
Normal color vision necessary.</li><li>
Must possess a valid and current driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul>
WORKING CONDITIONS- ADA INFORMATION:
Modern hospital Laboratories with access to patient areas and physician offices. Work activities will include: light lifting (not to exceed 25 pounds), walking, sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, and pushing objects. Must be about to operate office equipment, computer terminals and keyboards, computerized lab equipment and an automobile. Must be able / certified to perform CPR.
