Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Transport Driver/Mental Health Tech to join our healthcare team. This dual-role position combines safe and reliable transportation services with providing essential mental health support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and patient monitoring, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transit and within clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges while maintaining a professional and supportive environment.Duties<ul><li>Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, treatment facilities, or correctional clinics, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.</li><li>Assist mental health professionals with patient observation, behavioral management, and crisis intervention as needed during transport or within clinical settings.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of patient transport activities, behavioral observations, and medical information in compliance with privacy regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth transitions between transportation and clinical care environments.</li><li>Provide compassionate support to individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs, fostering a respectful and safe environment during all interactions.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prefer experience working in psychiatric or behavioral health settings, including hospital or corrections facility medical clinics.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record; experience operating transport vehicles in healthcare environments is preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions.
