Shalom School Toddler Teacher Position Overview:Shalom School&rsquo;s Preschool and Pre-k program is NAEYC-accredited and dedicated to nurturing the emotional, social, academic, and spiritual development of each child. The Toddler Teacher plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and responsive classroom environment for children under 2 years of age. Teachers at Shalom School work collaboratively as part of a caring, professional team committed to providing an outstanding early childhood education rooted in Jewish values and traditions.Reports to: Preschool DirectorHours: 8 hours/day, Monday-Friday, schedule based on program needsKey Responsibilities:<ul><li>Foster a loving, respectful, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.</li><li>Interact with children in ways that support emotional growth and healthy attachment.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment aligned with licensing and health standards.</li><li>Use observation and documentation techniques to track children's development and maintain anecdotal records.</li><li>Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support all areas of development.</li><li>Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure consistency and quality across the toddler program.</li><li>Communicate regularly and effectively with families to build trust and partnership.</li><li>Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide activities.Follow all licensing regulations and health/safety protocols.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum of 12 core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, including 3 infant/toddler units.</li><li>At least 6 months of experience teaching in a licensed early childhood setting.</li><li>Physical ability to actively engage with young children (run, bend, squat, lift, carry, etc.).</li><li>Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).</li><li>Up-to-date immunizations and live scan fingerprint clearance.</li><li>Commitment to inclusive, values-driven early childhood education.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
