Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment that encourages patient trust and satisfaction.Duties<ul><li>Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health.</li><li>Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.</li><li>Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.</li><li>Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits.</li><li>Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to safeguard patients and staff from cross-contamination.</li><li>Collaborate with dentists and other team members to review documentation, assist with medical coding, and ensure seamless patient care delivery.</li><li>Working knowledge of Itero scanning and intra-oral photos.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.</li><li>Proven experience in dental office environments, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with medical terminology and documentation review is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging procedures, and patient assessment accurately.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
