This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, professional environment dedicated to oral health excellence.Duties<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures of pediatric dentistry, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols</li><li>Take and process dental digital radiographs (X-ray), while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy</li><li>Manage medical documentation by accurately recording vital signs, medical history, dental terminology, and treatment details in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic</li><li>Support patient check-in and check-out processes as a friendly dental receptionist, verifying insurance information and scheduling appointments</li><li>Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and knowledge of anatomy to assist with chairside procedures efficiently</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and vital signs monitoring</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques</li><li>Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times</li><li>Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to effectively support young patients&rsquo; needs</li><li>Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients, team members, and healthcare providers</li></ul>Join us in delivering exceptional dental care through your enthusiasm and expertise!
