Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures of pediatric dentistry, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols
• Take and process dental digital radiographs (X-ray), while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
• Manage medical documentation by accurately recording vital signs, medical history, dental terminology, and treatment details in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic
• Support patient check-in and check-out processes as a friendly dental receptionist, verifying insurance information and scheduling appointments
• Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and knowledge of anatomy to assist with chairside procedures efficiently

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and vital signs monitoring
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to effectively support young patients’ needs
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients, team members, and healthcare providers

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
