About the RoleThe Accounting Assistant provides varied general accounting and clerical support in the Accounting Department. This position part-time (24 hours per week, Tuesday &ndash; Thursday). Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable<ul><li>Research, track, and resolve vendor account issues</li><li>Input bills and expense reports into Bill.com and QuickBooks</li><li>Review accounts payable submissions for policy compliance</li><li>Code, process, and obtain appropriate expense approval</li><li>Monthly review of vendor account status</li><li>Update vendor account information as needed</li><li>Ensure proper documentation is obtained and filed</li><li>Collect and maintain W-9 files</li><li>Prepare 1099's for annual distribution</li><li>Maintain vendor files</li></ul>Accounts Receivable<ul><li>Prepare weekly deposits for review by Accounting Manager</li><li>Review cash receipt batches; post to Church Management System</li><li>Post cash receipts detail in accounting software</li><li>Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies related to accounts receivable and contributors</li><li>Maintain deposit and customer files</li></ul>General<ul><li>Distribute bi-weekly paychecks</li><li>Prepare and distribute monthly ministry reports</li><li>Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations</li><li>Management of Accounting Office files (digital and hard copies)</li><li>Administrative task as required for maintaining the Accounting Office</li></ul>EXPERIENCE &amp; SKILLS The position requires an attention to detail, flexibility to work with Accounting department personnel, vendors and church members, ability to work independently and multi-task, prioritize work to meet deadlines, strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.KNOWLEDGE &amp; EDUCATION<ul><li>High School diploma</li><li>Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration</li><li>Accounts payable experience (3 year minimum)</li><li>QuickBooks, Bill.com, Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook), Church Management Systems</li></ul>PROCESS Forward your resume, highlighting relevant experience, along with a cover letter including salary requirements and history for consideration.<ul><li>Please expect your skills to be evaluated and a background check to be completed.</li></ul>Pay: $32,000.00 - $40,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
