Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Before and After School Program Staff member, where you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during their school hours and after-school activities. In this energetic position, you'll facilitate fun and educational activities, support children's social and emotional development, and ensure their well-being through attentive supervision and positive guidance. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a welcoming space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Duties<ul><li>Supervise children during before-school and after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times.</li><li>Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, encouraging cooperation and respect among children.</li><li>Assist with homework help and tutoring to support academic growth and reinforce learning concepts.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized environment that complies with childcare standards and safety regulations.</li><li>Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.</li><li>Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by collaborating with educators or specialists when necessary.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles.</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable to ensure safety during emergencies.</li><li>Familiarity with special education practices or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills to connect positively with children, parents, and team members.</li><li>Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a supportive environment.</li><li>Enthusiasm for engaging children in creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, or arts projects.
