Duties

• Supervise children during before-school and after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, encouraging cooperation and respect among children.
• Assist with homework help and tutoring to support academic growth and reinforce learning concepts.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that complies with childcare standards and safety regulations.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
• Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by collaborating with educators or specialists when necessary.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable to ensure safety during emergencies.
• Familiarity with special education practices or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect positively with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a supportive environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
