As we continue expanding, we are building a strong, high-performing Export Department and are looking for an experienced Export Agent to join our team. We value proactive communication, exceptional customer service, and team members who thrive in a dynamic environment.Position OverviewThe Export Agent will manage full-cycle air and ocean export operations, from booking through final delivery. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong CargoWise experience and the ability to keep up with time-sensitive shipments and changing priorities.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage end-to-end air and ocean export operations, ensuring accuracy and timely movement of cargo</li><li>Prepare and process export documentation including HAWBs, MAWBs, HBLs/MBLs, AES filings.</li><li>Enter and maintain all shipment data accurately in CargoWise (eDocs, milestones, costing, invoicing, etc.)</li><li>Communicate shipment status to customers and partners with urgency and professionalism</li><li>Coordinate with carriers, truckers, warehouses, and overseas partners to ensure efficient pickup and delivery</li><li>Review schedules, obtain carrier quotes, and arrange bookings</li><li>Monitor cargo movement, track shipments, and manage exceptions</li><li>Troubleshoot issues and resolve delays or documentation discrepancies</li><li>Ensure export compliance with U.S. and international regulations</li><li>Support the ongoing development and structure of our growing Export Department</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>2&ndash;3+ years of air and/or ocean export experience with a freight forwarder</li><li>CargoWise experience required</li><li>Strong understanding of export regulations, documentation, and carrier processes</li><li>Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team</li></ul>Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)<ul><li>Hazmat certification (or willingness to obtain)</li><li>Familiarity with Incoterms and global trade compliance</li><li>Experience working directly with airlines and steamship lines</li></ul>Benefits (customize as needed)<ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience</li><li>Medical, dental, vision benefits</li><li>PTO + holidays</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Opportunities for growth as Shiproad continues expanding</li></ul>How to ApplyApply through Indeed or email your resume to [your hiring email] with the subject line &ldquo;Export Agent Application &ndash; [Your Name]&rdquo;.Pay: $52,793.97 - $63,579.83 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
