We are a fast-paced, rapidly growing international freight forwarder specializing in air and ocean logistics. As we continue expanding, we are building a strong, high-performing Export Department and are looking for an experienced Export Agent to join our team. Position Overview

The Export Agent will manage full-cycle air and ocean export operations, from booking through final delivery. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong CargoWise experience and the ability to keep up with time-sensitive shipments and changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end air and ocean export operations, ensuring accuracy and timely movement of cargo
• Prepare and process export documentation including HAWBs, MAWBs, HBLs/MBLs, AES filings.
• Enter and maintain all shipment data accurately in CargoWise (eDocs, milestones, costing, invoicing, etc.)
• Communicate shipment status to customers and partners with urgency and professionalism
• Coordinate with carriers, truckers, warehouses, and overseas partners to ensure efficient pickup and delivery
• Review schedules, obtain carrier quotes, and arrange bookings
• Monitor cargo movement, track shipments, and manage exceptions
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve delays or documentation discrepancies
• Ensure export compliance with U.S. and international regulations
• Support the ongoing development and structure of our growing Export Department

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of air and/or ocean export experience with a freight forwarder
• CargoWise experience required
• Strong understanding of export regulations, documentation, and carrier processes
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Hazmat certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Familiarity with Incoterms and global trade compliance
• Experience working directly with airlines and steamship lines
