This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work across various accounting functions, from general ledger management to financial analysis, supporting our organization&rsquo;s growth and stability. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial data while collaborating with teams to streamline processes and uphold best practices.&lt;Responsibilities&gt;<ul><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including bank, ledger, and intercompany accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.</li><li>Perform journal entries, month-end closing activities, and general ledger maintenance using accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.</li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts to provide insights into cash flow management and financial performance.</li><li>Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and assist in internal audits related to financial reporting.</li><li>Assist with regulatory reporting requirements and prepare detailed financial reports for management review.</li><li>Mentor junior team members on technical accounting concepts, including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures.</li></ul>&lt;Requirements&gt;<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.</li><li>Proven experience in corporate accounting within a public or private sector environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or Quicken; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential.</li><li>Familiarity with SOX compliance procedures and securities law is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus.</li><li>Ability to interpret complex financial concepts and prepare comprehensive financial reports.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail; strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and promote continuous improvement within the finance function.
