Sierra Peaks is seeking an Electromechanical Manufacturing Leader / Value Stream Manager to own the tactical, day-to-day operations of our electromechanical assembly (EMA), cable manufacturing, and machine shop value streams. This mid-level, hands-on leader drives production execution, team performance, cost reduction, and on-time delivery, while partnering closely with Project Managers, Engineering, and customers to meet demand and deliver high-quality products. This role is full-time, on-site reporting to the Director of Operations and overseeing production leads, machinists, and technicians.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</b></div><ul><li>

Electromechanical assembly experience in low-to-mid volume manufacturing (typical batches of ~5&ndash;20 units).</li><li>
Demonstrated success developing, implementing, and leading teams through growth.</li><li>
Engineering background or strong engineering fluency, enabling effective collaboration on manufacturability, processes, and technical execution.</li><li>
Proven ability to lead in a hands-on, high-collaboration production environment.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills</li><li>
Clear communicator who can coordinate across production, engineering, and project management.</li></ul><div><b>

Deliver products on time, on cost, and on quality across EMA, cables, and machining.</li><li>
Drive measurable improvements in profitability, throughput, and operational efficiency.</li><li>
Build and lead high-performing teams capable of scaling output and complexity.</li><li>
Improve planning and execution processes to support predictable delivery and strong customer satisfaction.</li><li>

Core Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Lead daily tactical operations for:<ul><li>
Electromechanical assembly (EMA)</li><li>
Cable manufacturing</li><li>
Machine shop / machining support</li></ul></li><li>
Translate demand and project schedules into executable production plans.</li><li>
Own production output</li><li>
Identify and remove bottlenecks to improve throughput and reduce lead times.</li><li>
Partner with Project Managers to align production priorities to contract requirements and customer needs.</li><li>
Work directly with customers (as needed) to confirm delivery expectations and manage commitments.</li><li>
Lead and develop production leads, machinists, and technicians.</li><li>
Train and mentor teams to support growth in volume, complexity, and capability.</li><li>
Promote a safe, respectful, and collaborative shop-floor environment.</li><li>
Support and drive continuous improvement efforts</li><li>
Track and improve profitability metrics for the electromechanical value stream</li><li>
Recommend operational changes that improve margins without sacrificing quality, delivery or customer service</li><li>
Ensure production processes meet internal and customer quality standards.</li><li>
Use root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.</li><li>
Monitor and deliver against on-time delivery targets; escalate risks early with solutions.</li><li>
Standardize and improve production workflows, communication cadence, and visual management.</li><li>
Support ERP accuracy and discipline (BOMs, routings, job closeout, inventory moves).</li><li>
Improve production planning maturity over time through better data, forecasting, and scheduling tools.</li><li>
Support business development through review of lead time and price for future proposals</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Preferred Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Direct experience with production planning/scheduling and demand execution.</li><li>
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, value-stream thinking, or continuous improvement frameworks.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
