Key Responsibilities As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for: <ul> <li>Ensuring that facility operations and business objectives align with Saudi Aramco's environmental protection policies, as well as relevant environmental policies, GIs, and standards.</li> <li>Identifying deviations and developing solutions to address environmental issues, ensuring the mitigation of environmental risks and improving compliance with both company and governmental environmental regulations.</li> <li>Conducting comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) and environmental assessments and providing recommendations for improvements.</li> <li>Developing, reviewing, and implementing GHG management strategies.</li> <li>Conducting internal GHG assessments for facilities such as refineries, NGL fractionation plants, petrochemical plants, and lube manufacturing plants.</li> <li>Overseeing solid and chemical waste disposal to ensure environmental protection and compliance with governmental regulations.</li> <li>Monitoring air quality, wastewater treatment, water conservation, and waste management performance.</li> <li>Developing, reviewing, and deploying the facility's environmental management system in alignment with ISO 14001 standards.</li> <li>Developing and maintaining environmental procedures and guidelines.</li> <li>Conducting internal environmental performance benchmarking studies within the oil and gas and refinery sectors.</li> <li>Keeping up to date with international and regional regulations on emissions, waste management, water and wastewater treatment, and GHG to ensure compliance.</li> <li>Collaborating with stakeholders such as field engineers, senior executives, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with industry standards and needs.</li> <li>Analyzing complex data sets related to emissions, equipment efficiency, and other relevant parameters to derive actionable insights for performance enhancement.</li> </ul> Minimum Requirements The successful candidate should possess: <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.</li> <li>At least 17 years of experience in oil and gas refineries or petrochemical industries. EPI/QEP certification is preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of the oil and gas refining industry's environmental challenges and risks.</li> <li>Familiarity with global and governmental environmental policies, regulations, and standards.</li> <li>Expertise in technical sustainability data, calculation methodologies, and their limitations.</li> <li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in environmental engineering.</li> <li>Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and its requirements.</li> <li>Experience in developing decarbonization roadmaps, GHG emission baselines, and target-setting strategies.</li> </ul>
