Job Description:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our high-volume urgent care clinic. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and must have working knowledge of medical terminology, as well as experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Greet and register walk-in patients efficiently and professionally</li><li>Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility</li><li>Obtain and process prior authorizations for imaging, procedures, and medications</li><li>Communicate with insurance carriers to ensure timely approvals</li><li>Accurately enter patient information into the EMR system</li><li>Manage high call volume and maintain smooth patient flow</li><li>Collect co-pays and explain basic billing information</li><li>Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality</li><li>Work closely with clinical staff to support efficient patient throughput</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Prior experience in urgent care or high-volume medical office preferred</li><li>Required: Knowledge of medical terminology</li><li>Required: Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations</li><li>Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced setting</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems</li><li>Strong communication and customer service skillS</li></ul>Work Location: In person
