About this Position: This position is responsible for customer service duties and helping in the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of drivers, trucks, and loads to support the company&rsquo;s logistical operations. This includes dispatching for equipment, water, aggregate, grain, juice, and other materials. The role serves as a central communication point for drivers, and internal operations, ensuring timely service, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation including customer walk-in greetings and answering phones.Our company culture: Our company culture is guided by five core values. Our environment promotes and encourages new ideas.What we&rsquo;re looking for: <ul><li>Plan and schedule drivers, routes, and loads to meet customer requirements and maximize operational efficiency.</li><li>Provide customers with accurate ETAs and driver location updates.</li><li>Develop and quote freight rates in collaboration with management.</li><li>Address and resolve issues involving shippers, customers, or drivers.</li><li>Prepare dispatch documents, freight bills, and invoices.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, and delivery/pickup times.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations and laws.</li><li>Identify and resolve scheduling discrepancies caused by vendor or internal errors.</li><li>Participate in lessons‑learned reviews and apply findings to future planning.</li><li>Apply for oversize and weight‑restriction permits as needed.</li><li>Operate scales and print tickets when required.</li><li>Answering phones and assisting with customer walk ins.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in transportation or logistics preferred.</li><li>2&ndash;3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a related industry.</li><li>Strong ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and manage dispatch operations.</li><li>Experience in customer service, freight billing, and invoicing.</li><li>Proficiency with Transportation Management Software (e.g., Samsara) and Microsoft Office; ability to learn Service Fusion dispatch software.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with limited supervision.</li></ul>What we offer: &middot; 100% Employee Sponsored Health Insurance&middot; 401k Retirement Plan with aggressive employer contribution&middot; Pay incentives based off performance and certifications&middot; Paid Time off&middot; Paid Holidays.About Simon Brothers LLC:Our story began in 1915 hauling block ice and coal with a team of horses and a Model T to the Fowler area.
