Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our summer camp team. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and possess strong leadership skills.Duties<ul><li>Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times during activities and events.</li><li>Plan and lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational programs.</li><li>Foster a positive environment that encourages campers to participate, build friendships, and develop new skills.</li><li>Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth camp experience.</li><li>Assist in managing camper behavior through effective classroom management techniques.</li><li>Provide first aid assistance as needed and maintain a safe environment for all participants.</li><li>Collaborate with other counselors to create a cohesive team dynamic that enhances the camp experience.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or working with children in a camp or daycare setting is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.</li><li>Experience in theater or other creative arts can enhance program offerings at camp.</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are essential.</li><li>Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.</li></ul>Join us this summer to make lasting memories while positively impacting the lives of young campers!Job Type: Full-timePay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
