Summer Camp Staff

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our summer camp team. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and possess strong leadership skills.

Duties

• Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times during activities and events.
• Plan and lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational programs.
• Foster a positive environment that encourages campers to participate, build friendships, and develop new skills.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth camp experience.
• Assist in managing camper behavior through effective classroom management techniques.
• Provide first aid assistance as needed and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
• Collaborate with other counselors to create a cohesive team dynamic that enhances the camp experience.

Experience

• Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or working with children in a camp or daycare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
• Experience in theater or other creative arts can enhance program offerings at camp.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are essential.
• Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
