Job SummaryThe MEP Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for construction projects in the UAE. The role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs while ensuring compliance with UAE standards and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation &amp; Costing<ul><li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and BMS systems</li><li>Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work</li><li>Perform quantity take-offs using drawings and specifications</li><li>Prepare and review BOQs, cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules</li><li>Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations and conduct price comparisons</li></ul>Tendering &amp; Commercial Support<ul><li>Participate in tender meetings and site visits</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams for pricing</li><li>Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives</li><li>Assist in bid submission preparation and clarifications</li><li>Support post-tender negotiations and contract award processes</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Liaise with design, procurement, and project teams</li><li>Maintain an updated cost database for materials, labor, and subcontractors</li><li>Ensure estimates comply with UAE codes, standards, and market rates</li><li>Prepare estimation reports and handover documents to project teams</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; ExperienceEducation<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>3&ndash;7 years of experience as an MEP Estimator in the UAE</li><li>Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates and suppliers</li><li>Experience with residential, commercial, hospitality, or industrial projects</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methodologies</li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, CostX, Candy &ndash; preferred)</li><li>Excellent analytical and numerical skills</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications</li><li>Strong communication and negotiation skills</li><li>Ability to work under tight deadlines</li></ul>Knowledge Requirements<ul><li>UAE construction practices and standards (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, etc.)</li><li>FIDIC contracts and tendering procedures (preferred)</li><li>Local authority regulations and approval processes</li></ul>Preferred Attributes<ul><li>Immediate availability or short notice period</li><li>Experience with Design &amp; Build (D&amp;B) projects</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

MEP Estimation Engineer

Job SummaryA Junior MEP Engineer supports the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building or infrastructure projects. You&rsquo;ll work under senior engineers or project managers and gain hands-on experience with technical design, documentation, coordination, and site activities.Key Responsibilities Design &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Assist in preparing and modifying MEP drawings and technical layouts using tools like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM software.</li><li>Perform basic calculations and system analysis for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.</li><li>Support senior engineers with project specifications, technical reports, and document reviews.</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Teamwork<ul><li>Work with project teams including architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure MEP systems integrate smoothly with other disciplines.</li><li>Attend project meetings and coordinate information flow between stakeholders.</li></ul>Site Support &amp; QA/QC<ul><li>Assist in site visits, inspections, and quality checks to verify installation work matches design intent and standards.</li><li>Help resolve technical issues and support construction supervision where needed. I</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Standards<ul><li>Ensure designs comply with local UAE building codes and regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA/Civil Defense requirements).</li><li>Stay updated on best practices and standards relevant to MEP engineering.</li></ul>Administrative Tasks<ul><li>Prepare and maintain project reports, records, and documentation.</li><li>Assist with procurement support such as verifying material specifications.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills Education<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Typically 0&ndash;2 years of relevant experience</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, BIM tools.</li><li>Understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, or fire-fighting systems.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.</li><li>Eagerness to learn and attention to detail.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
