MEP Project Sales Engineer
Job Summary
The MEP Project Sales Engineer identifies business opportunities, develops client relationships, prepares technical and commercial proposals, and supports the successful execution of MEP projects. They act as a bridge between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new MEP project opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and end users.
- Conduct client meetings and presentations.
- Generate sales leads and achieve revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
Technical Support
- Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Recommend suitable MEP solutions based on project requirements.
- Prepare technical submittals and product selections.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure technical compliance.
Tendering & Estimation
- Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals.
- Participate in tender submissions and bid evaluations.
- Negotiate prices, contract terms, and project scope with clients.
- Ensure profitability and competitiveness of proposals.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate project handover from sales to execution teams.
- Monitor project progress and client satisfaction.
- Resolve technical and commercial issues during project execution.
- Support variation orders and contract amendments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain CRM and sales records.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Track project pipeline and forecast future sales.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in MEP contracting, MEP products, or building services sales.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire fighting, and building services.
- Experience in tendering, estimation, and project sales.
- Valid driving license (often required in Gulf countries).
