As our patient base continues to expand, we are looking for a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Dental Hygienist who is passionate about patient education, preventive care, and creating a positive dental experience. This is a 4‑day‑per‑week opportunity with competitive pay and a supportive clinical team.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform dental prophylaxis procedures including cleanings, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health.</li><li>Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.</li><li>Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.</li><li>Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment notes, and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Support the dental team with chairside assisting, managing medical records, and ensuring a sterile environment aligned with infection control standards.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.</li><li>Experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings preferred; familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.</li><li>Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures.</li><li>Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically across diverse patient populations.</li><li>Ability to perform detailed documentation review and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.</li><li>Experience with dental office operations enhances your fit for this role.
