As our patient base continues to expand, we are looking for a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Dental Hygienist who is passionate about patient education, preventive care, and creating a positive dental experience. This is a 4‑day‑per‑week opportunity with competitive pay and a supportive clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis procedures including cleanings, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
• Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment notes, and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support the dental team with chairside assisting, managing medical records, and ensuring a sterile environment aligned with infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.
• Experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings preferred; familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically across diverse patient populations.
• Ability to perform detailed documentation review and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
