Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the bridge between patients and providers, ensuring seamless communication, accurate documentation, and efficient scheduling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience while supporting the operational excellence of our dental practice.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance coverage, and gather necessary medical and dental history information.</li><li>Explain treatment plans clearly, answer patient questions, and discuss financial options to promote understanding and comfort.</li><li>Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflows.</li><li>Verify insurance benefits, process claims accurately using CPT and ICD coding standards, and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.</li><li>Review patient records for completeness, ensuring all documentation aligns with HIPAA regulations and internal policies.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical and dental records within EMR systems like Meditech, Epic, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring data integrity at all times.</li><li>Assist with administrative tasks including filing, phone etiquette, multi-line phone system management, and managing patient intake forms.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in dental terminology and medical billing procedures.</li><li>Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms; experience with Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth is a plus.</li><li>Proficiency in medical coding including CPT, ICD-9/10 codes; understanding of Medicare guidelines is advantageous.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle medical administrative support tasks such as insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and documentation review efficiently.</li><li>Adept at using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills including 10-key typing for data entry accuracy.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management practices to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
