Overview We are seeking a personable, dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In this position, we are looking for someone who is willing to be cross trained as assistant and front desk.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.</li><li>Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.</li><li>Take dental radiographs (X-rays)</li><li>4 Handed Dentistry</li><li>Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as needed.</li><li>Support pediatric dentistry procedures with knowledge of child behavior management techniques.</li><li>Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of care are met.</li><li>Assist front desk when needed to schedule appointments, answer calls and help where needed.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology is essential for effective communication.</li><li>Understanding of infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.</li><li>Experience with medical imaging techniques is advantageous.</li><li>Previous experience in dental assisting is highly desirable, particularly in prosthodontics or similar fields.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality is required.</li><li>Familiarity with Open Dental or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.</li></ul>Join our team and contribute to creating healthy smiles while advancing your career in the dental field!Website www.YourSmileOasis.comJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Work Location: In person
