<p><b>Role Overview</b></p>
<p>As a Senior Creative Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for leading and delivering innovative lighting design solutions for a variety of projects, from conceptualization through to completion.<br>
You will collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and clients to ensure that the lighting design enhances the aesthetic and functional aspects of the space.<br>
Your creative vision, technical expertise and leadership will play a key role in shaping high-quality design outcomes.</p><br>
<div><b>Creative Design</b><br>
<ul><li>Develop and lead the design of lighting concepts for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail environments which will include landscaping and master planning.</li><li>Produce high-quality design presentations, including sketches, diagrams, visualizations, and mood boards to</li></ul>
convey design intent to clients.<br>
<ul><li>Ensure that lighting design enhances architectural and interior features while considering functionality, sustainability, and budget constraints.</li></ul></div><br>

<b>Project Leadership</b><br>
<ul><li>Lead the design team on multiple projects, guiding and mentoring junior designers to ensure the design vision</li></ul>
is executed properly.<br>
<ul><li>Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to integrate lighting solutions seamlessly into overall design schemes.</li><li>Oversee the development of technical lighting plans, specifications, and fixture selections.</li></ul></div><br>

<b>Technical Expertise</b><br>
<ul><li>Maintain knowledge of the latest lighting technologies, products, and trends, ensuring the application of cutting-edge and energy-efficient solutions.</li><li>Develop detailed lighting designs including layouts, lighting fixture specifications, control system designs, and calculations.</li><li>Provide guidance on lighting controls, integration, and system coordination with electrical engineers and contractors.</li></ul></div>
<div><b>Client Collaboration</b><br>
<ul><li>Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the design process, presenting creative concepts and revisions to meet client needs and expectations.</li><li>Ensure client satisfaction by delivering creative, functional, and cost-effective lighting solutions that align with project timelines and budgets.</li><li>Ability to defend the design and win over other stakeholders in workshops and presentations.</li></ul></div><br>
<div><b>Team Collaboration and Mentorship</b><br>
<ul><li>Work closely with other design team members to foster a collaborative and creative working environment.</li><li>Mentor junior designers, helping them to develop their technical and creative skills.</li></ul></div><br>

<p><b>Essential Experience Required:</b></p>
<ul><li>Minimum of 7+ years of experience in lighting design from an independent lighting design consultancy, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of creative and technical projects.</li><li>Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, DIALux, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft.</li><li>Strong knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, and controls.</li><li>Understanding of LEED or WELL-certified projects.</li><li>Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation in lighting design.</li><li>Must understand the relationship between lighting design and interior design, and thus will</li></ul>
have some form of an interior design background.<br>
<ul><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with</li></ul>
clients and team members.<br>
<ul><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.</li><li>Experience in mentoring and leading design teams is a plus.</li></ul></div>
