General Overview:

The Financial Analyst I is an entry-level role designed for a motivated and detail-oriented individual eager to grow within a dynamic finance team. This position supports core financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis processes while developing critical business and technical skills. Working closely with the senior director of business intelligence and cross-functional teams, this role helps drive accurate and timely reporting that informs operational and strategic decision-making.</div>
Essential Functions:
<ul><li>Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for internal stakeholders.</li><li>
Support the annual budget and monthly forecasting process by gathering data, updating templates, and validating inputs.</li><li>
Perform basic variance and trend analyses on revenue and expense data, identifying key changes versus budget or prior periods.</li><li>
Maintain and update store-level financial models, ensuring accuracy in data inputs such as sales, labor, and expenses.</li><li>
Partner with departments to collect data and ensure alignment on reporting requirements and assumptions.</li><li>
Support ad hoc analysis requests and special projects by pulling and organizing data in a structured and efficient manner.</li><li>
Assist in enhancing reporting tools and automating recurring reports where appropriate.</li><li>
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the Finance function by helping document processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency.</li></ul>
Major Responsibilities / Specific Requirements:
<ul><li>Foundational knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, and business reporting.</li><li>
Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF statements); exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from senior analysts.</li><li>
Excellent organization and time management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li><li>
Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>
Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow; receptive to feedback and development.</li><li>
Alignment with Smoothie King&rsquo;s values and a passion for contributing to a purpose-driven brand.</li><li>

</li></ul>Education and Experience Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.</li><li>
Internship or up to 2 years of relevant finance experience preferred (QSR, retail, or hospitality experience is required).</li><li>
Familiarity with financial statements and budgeting processes preferred.</li><li>
Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus.
