Job SummarySoar Academy is seeking an energetic and adaptable High School Teacher with a strong background in mathematics&mdash;particularly pre-algebra and algebra 1&mdash;and a passion for hands-on, project-based learning.The ideal candidate is a firm yet friendly educator who can confidently guide students across multiple subjects while making math meaningful through real-world applications and creative projects. This role is perfect for a teacher who values structure, student connection, and learning that goes beyond the textbook.Responsibilities<ul><li>Teach math-focused high school courses, including pre-algebra and algebra 1, with additional instruction in other core subjects as assigned.</li><li>Design and implement project-based lessons that connect academic concepts to real-world experiences.</li><li>Maintain a well-structured, engaging classroom that fosters curiosity, respect, and active learning.</li><li>Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.</li><li>Assess student understanding through both traditional and performance-based methods.</li><li>Communicate consistently with students and families to support academic progress.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular projects and share instructional strategies.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (preferred)</li><li>Teaching Certification (preferred)</li><li>At least 1 year of classroom experience (preferred)</li><li>Strong knowledge of pre-algebra and algebra 1 concepts</li><li>Demonstrated ability to teach multiple subjects effectively</li><li>Excellent classroom management with a firm and encouraging presence</li><li>Passion for hands-on, project-based teaching and student-centered learning</li><li>Willingness to learn new methods and ways to teach.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, InternshipPay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 &ndash; 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
