Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, including those with autism, in a group home setting. Your primary focus will be to assist clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life while ensuring their safety and well-being.Duties<ul><li>Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.</li><li>Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client&rsquo;s needs and preferences.</li><li>Provide patient observation to monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being.</li><li>Support clients in social interactions and community engagement activities.</li><li>Facilitate skill development through structured activities and programs.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe environment within the group home.</li><li>Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients with mobility or transfers.</li><li>Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Experience working with individuals with autism or similar developmental disabilities is highly desirable.</li><li>Knowledge of direct support practices and principles in a group home setting.</li><li>Ability to lift and assist clients safely, ensuring their comfort and dignity.</li><li>Strong observational skills for monitoring client behavior and health status.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.</li><li>Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.</li><li>A background in nursing or healthcare is beneficial but not required.</li></ul>Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
