We strive to bring out &ldquo;la gourmande&rdquo; in everyone..Our work environment includes:<ul><li>Modern state of the art kitchen setting</li><li>Food provided</li><li>Growth opportunities</li><li>Employee Discount</li><li>Sophie t-shirts/sweatshirt provided as uniform</li></ul>Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Greeting guests in a friendly manner; taking food, espresso/coffee, tea and drink orders</li><li>Knowledge of the freshly roasted coffee/espresso</li><li>Knowledge of manual La Marzocco espresso machine, Puq Press, Mahlkonig Espresso Grinders</li><li>Create seasonal coffee/espresso/tea and other seasonal drinks</li><li>Report to Front of House Manager</li><li>Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate</li><li>Serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries</li><li>Answering customers&rsquo; questions about menu choices</li><li>Promoting and recommending menu options to customers</li><li>Taking customer payments</li><li>Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized</li><li>Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime</li><li>Open and close caf&eacute; according to Sophie guidelines</li><li>This is a tipped position. Hourly rate based on experience</li></ul>Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Previous experience in a similar field required - Ability to work 8AM-5 PM shift - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a teamNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
