Job Responsibilities

• Greeting guests in a friendly manner; taking food, espresso/coffee, tea and drink orders
• Knowledge of the freshly roasted coffee/espresso
• Knowledge of manual La Marzocco espresso machine, Puq Press, Mahlkonig Espresso Grinders
• Create seasonal coffee/espresso/tea and other seasonal drinks
• Report to Front of House Manager
• Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate
• Serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries
• Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
• Taking customer payments
• Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
• Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime
• Open and close café according to Sophie guidelines
• This is a tipped position. Hourly rate based on experience

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a similar field required - Ability to work 8AM-5 PM shift
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
