Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our Property Management team. You will manage a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. You will support our organization&rsquo;s financial health by maintaining precise books, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and reconciliations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organization that values integrity, accuracy, and proactive financial management.Duties<ul><li>Maintain and update tenant and owner ledgers using accounting/management software such as AppFolio</li><li>Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation</li><li>Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash flow records through meticulous bank statement matching</li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections</li><li>Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)</li><li>Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing relevant reports</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in corporate accounting or non-profit accounting environments with familiarity in governmental accounting practices</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools; experience with Quicken is a plus</li><li>Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits &amp; credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting</li><li>Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation accurately and efficiently</li><li>Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles for accurate financial reporting</li><li>Excellent skills in account analysis, financial report writing, and bank reconciliation procedures</li><li>Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance, and governmental reporting requirements is preferred</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as accounts payable/receivable management and budget analysis simultaneously</li><li>High level of accuracy with 10 key typing skills for data entry tasks</li></ul>Join us to be part of a caring team dedicated to maintaining impeccable financial records while supporting the organization&rsquo;s growth.
