Job DescriptionSummary DescriptionMember Service Representatives provide basic cash and other non-loan services to members.Major Job Functions<ul><li>Assist members with routine transactions and service requests (i.e., deposits, withdrawals, money orders, traveler&rsquo;s checks, check cashing, balance inquiries).</li><li>Provide accurate, complete, courteous member service.</li><li>Maintain working knowledge of all credit union products and services.</li><li>Examine negotiable instruments for proper endorsements and negotiability.</li><li>Process mail receipts and transactions.</li><li>Process night depository items.</li><li>Produce starter checks.</li><li>Process and file forms and other documentation.</li><li>Balance cash and transactions.</li><li>Cross-sell credit union products and services.</li><li>Maintain working knowledge of consumer regulations which effect the products and services offered by the credit union.</li><li>Handle telephone inquiry and transaction requests.</li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of the credit union&rsquo;s data processing system.</li><li>Maintain appropriate security and internal controls.</li><li>Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Working knowledge of applicable member account and negotiable instrument laws and regulations.</li><li>Working knowledge of credit union member account policies and procedures and generally accepted business practices for financial institution accounts, services, and products.</li><li>Ability to work effectively as a * team player*, placing the interests of the credit union above individual interests.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with staff, management, members, and the general public.</li><li>Ability to work independently, meeting various deadlines and productivity requirements without close supervision.</li><li>Ability and willingness to change and adapt to the credit union&rsquo;s business as needed.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) Matching</li><li>Dental Insurance</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Health Insurance</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li><li>Vision Insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
