This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across medical and dental settings while making a meaningful difference in patients&rsquo; lives.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring comfort throughout blood draws and dental treatments</li><li>Collect blood samples accurately using proper aseptic techniques, adhering to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy</li><li>Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties</li><li>Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning</li><li>Manage medical documentation by updating electronic health records (EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic), ensuring accuracy in medical records and coding</li><li>Maintain a sterile environment through infection control practices and proper sterilization of instruments</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow as a dental receptionist, and verifying insurance information</li><li>Take vital signs and perform basic medical assessments to support comprehensive patient care in both medical and dental contexts</li><li>Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, demonstrating patience and effective communication with young patients</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Proven experience in dental assisting or medical assisting within a clinical setting, with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy</li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical coding and documentation is highly desirable</li><li>Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in both dental and medical environments</li><li>Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times</li><li>Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics</li><li>Basic proficiency in vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and chairside assisting techniques</li><li>Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings involving general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatric dentistry</li></ul><p>Join our team where your skills will directly impact patient health while you grow professionally in a supportive environment.
