This starts with great service at our cafes and with the education of our crew!Position Summary:As a barista you will be responsible for making consistent, high quality drinks, preparing our delicious food, ensuring a clean environment, and most importantly making sure our customers are happy!Essential Job Functions:A successful barista will create a fantastic customer experience and deliver unparalleled service and products.<ul><li>Baristas are responsible for providing the absolute best client experience possible. It is our goal to foster a work culture that truly values our customers and our employees alike.</li><li>Serving our guests in a polite, efficient, and quality-driven manner.</li><li>Greet customers, answer questions, and suggest products to enhance service and sales.</li><li>Responsible for learning and maintaining company standards and protocols as well as adhering to Southdown&rsquo;s recipe and presentation standards.</li><li>Ensure top notch quality of products for customers, including beverages, whole bean, and food items.</li><li>Contributes to a positive team environment.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of customer service area and equipment.</li><li>Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.</li><li>Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.</li><li>Maintains regular and punctual attendance.</li><li>Take orders while paying attention to details.</li><li>Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards).</li><li>Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.</li><li>Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as a team</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job</li><li>Easy to communicate with and works well with management and other co-workers</li><li>Previous work experience as a Barista, Server, or Cashier</li><li>It is a plus if you have experience with specialty coffee as it exists today.
