If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about promoting oral health, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your career in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics and orthodontics.Duties<ul><li>Assist the dentist during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and care.</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are ready for use.</li><li>Take high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to strict infection control standards and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical histories, taking vital signs, and documenting medical records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Open Dental</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, processing insurance claims, and maintaining organized patient files in compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Assist with dental procedures involving anatomy knowledge and dental terminology to ensure accurate support during complex treatments like endodontics or prosthodontics.</li><li>Implement infection control protocols consistently to maintain a safe clinical environment for patients and staff.</li><li>Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and treatment efficiency.</li><li>Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and preventive measures to promote long-term oral health.</li><li>Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a friendly atmosphere that eases young patients&rsquo; anxieties while ensuring proper medical documentation.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.</li><li>Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, vital signs measurement, and infection control practices.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation.</li><li>Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is highly preferred.</li><li>Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other imaging tools confidently.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages&mdash;especially in pediatrics&mdash;and team members.</li><li>Certification in radiography or X-ray technology required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics are advantageous.</li><li>Commitment to maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards rigorously.</li><li>Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
