About the RoleWe&rsquo;re a small, family-owned ecommerce spice company looking for a detail-oriented, dependable person to join our operations team as a Data &amp; Records Specialist. This is an entry-level, on-site role with real day-to-day responsibility&mdash;not a project-based or research position.The majority of this role is hands-on data maintenance: cleaning and reconciling records, keeping our Google Sheets-based production and inventory systems accurate, and supporting the workflows that production depends on every day. You&rsquo;ll work closely with our lead business analyst and operations management team.Our systems are live and multi-user, with multiple team members accessing and entering data simultaneously &mdash; accuracy and care in that environment are essential.Over time, you&rsquo;ll support more advanced work&mdash;including integrations with AppSheet and BigQuery&mdash;but that comes after you&rsquo;ve built a solid understanding of our current systems and the operations they support. If you&rsquo;re looking for a role where you can quietly build skills, do meaningful work, and grow steadily within a small team, this is a good fit.What a Typical Day Looks Like<ul><li>Auditing existing data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness</li><li>Troubleshooting formulas, data validation, and workflow issues within our Google Sheets-based production systems, which serve as the operational backbone for daily production activity</li><li>Spending time on the production floor to understand how data connects to real workflows</li><li>Implementing small, targeted improvements to existing systems as you build familiarity with our workflows</li><li>Reconciling inventory counts and catching discrepancies before they reach production</li><li>Maintaining lot records, receiving logs, and recipe data in Google Sheets</li><li>Gradually taking on integration and automation work as you become familiar with our systems</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>Proficiency in Google Sheets or equivalent Excel experience &mdash; our systems are Google Sheets-based, and strong Excel skills translate directly</li><li>High attention to detail&mdash;you notice when something doesn&rsquo;t add up</li><li>Clear communicator; able to work with both technical and non-technical teammates</li><li>Service-first mindset: you find genuine satisfaction in keeping critical systems running accurately and reliably</li><li>Approaches new environments with curiosity and patience &mdash; focused on understanding how and why systems work before proposing improvements</li></ul>Preferred (Not Required)<ul><li>Background in operations, manufacturing, food production, or inventory management</li><li>Exposure to AppSheet, BigQuery, or similar tools</li><li>Light IT troubleshooting (printer connectivity, network basics)</li><li>Basic SQL experience or coursework (familiarity with querying and data structure concepts)</li><li>Exposure to Google AppScript or similar scripting tools</li></ul>Why You&rsquo;ll Love Working Here<ul><li>Mentorship &amp; Growth: Work directly with an experienced analyst and company leadership.</li><li>Real-World Impact: Your work has an immediate, visible impact on daily production, directly supporting operational efficiency.</li><li>Career Development: A clear path to grow into more advanced data and systems work as the company scales.</li><li>Learning Opportunity: A real-world environment to apply and deepen your skills in data management, operational systems, and records integrity.</li></ul>How to ApplySubmit your resume and a brief note on why this role interests you.
