<div>Title: Safety and Security Officer 
Description: This position provides security related oversight to school campus areas and serves as a resource to administration, staff, and students. 
EXAMPLES of DUTIES:
Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>
Patrol school premises, including halls, locker rooms, and parking lots maintaining high visibility in the assigned areas before, during, and after school, on weekends, and as requested by school administration.</li><li>
Be a positive role model and student advocate; be visible and accessible while developing and promoting positive relationships with youth, parents, and staff.</li><li>
Assist in investigating incidents of misconduct and/or property damage. Assists building administration in conducting searches; follow up on theft reports.</li><li>
At the request of Administration, assist building administrators with discipline, welfare checks, and transportation. Serve as law enforcement liaison, juvenile contact, and student support. Schedule meetings as appropriate.</li><li>
Attend appropriate staff meetings, activities, and training.</li><li>
Provide the administration with insight and information regarding negative student group activity, truancy, and behavior that may compromise the safety and security of our staff and students.</li><li>
Participate on appropriate committees, expulsion hearings, truancy board, and threat assessment team.</li><li>
Provide education and/or training to students and staff. Retain records as appropriate.</li><li>
Purchase and maintain radios and other communication devices as appropriate, including requests for repairs, battery replacement, and new devices.</li><li>
Responsible for monitoring cameras and communicating with appropriate district personnel.</li><li>
Respond to alarms and provide on-call assistance to administration in the event of an emergency.</li><li>
Prepare school newsletter information on safety and security topics.</li><li>
Provide support for crossing guards and traffic.</li><li>
Assist District Administration with policy and procedure updates as needed.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>
Prior law enforcement experience.</li><li>
Successfully trained with the use of taser and hand gun.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.</li></ul>
Physical Factors:<ul><li>
Be able to walk the entire campus frequently throughout the shift.</li><li>
Be able to be outside in various weather conditions throughout the year.</li><li>
Wear uniform as required by the District.</li></ul> 
Employment Terms:<ul><li>
Exempt, at will position</li><li>
Full-time, year-round position (contract year is September 1 through August 31)</li><li>
Maintenance of confidentiality</li><li>
Successfully qualify annually with hand gun</li><li>
Hand gun and ammunition to be provided by Safety and Security Officer</li><li>
Remain up-to-date with legally required trainings</li><li>
Salary and work year established by the Superintendent.</li><li>
Vacation and benefit package as per District guidelines</li></ul> 
Evaluation:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated annually by the Superintendent and based on the job descriptors and the evaluation criteria. It is understood and acknowledged that employment in this position shall be exempt and at will, subject to termination with or without cause by the Board, with or without recommendation from the Superintendent.

The Thrift Store Warehouse Clerk/Cashier is responsible for receiving, categorizing and price prepping donation items. This person also assists with filling the merchandise on the displays and sales floor. This position is a fill in cashier as needed.

Warehouse Clerk/Cashier

<div>POSITION SUMMARY 
Provides support to students with disabilities to assist with a wide range of IEP related services so they may reach their highest potential within the academic setting.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Provides a safe and supportive environment so students with special needs may fully access their education.</li><li>
Accompanies and assists students throughout the school day as necessitated by the IEP.</li><li>
Provides academic tutoring/remediation, 1:1 or in small group settings under the direction of a certified teacher.</li><li>
May transcribe instructional materials into Braille as needed.</li><li>
Assists and trains students in all areas of self-care as needed, including feeding, hygiene, dressing, mobility.</li><li>
Performs medical tasks as assigned under the direction or instruction of licensed medical providers (nurses, doctors) including, but not limited to catheterizations, care of trachea tubes, gastric tube feeding, etc.</li><li>
Maintains required records and files, performs Medicaid billings.</li><li>
Performs administrative and clerical duties as assigned (typing, filing, copying, data entry, meeting schedules, material preparation).</li><li>
Assists students with organizing activities, scheduling events, processing paperwork and other related activities.</li><li>
Assist with instruction of groups (priority): works one-on-one and in small groups with students on specific needs; monitors behaviors for behavior plans. Assist teacher in modifying student assignments as needed.</li><li>
Assists with informal student testing/monitoring of objectives (priority) &ndash; e.g. sight words, math facts, reading inventories, fluency checks.</li><li>
Performs classroom duties: bulletin boards; calendars; organizing/maintaining orderliness of classroom centers.</li><li>
May assist with IEP/paperwork on a limited basis.</li><li>
Completes and sends meeting notice forms, vision/hearing screening forms; creates goals/objectives checklists; distributes teacher input/communication forms.</li><li>
Schedules and contacts parents for IEP, CST, and MET meetings.</li><li>
Assists with proctoring DAPs and AIMS.</li><li>
May grade student work and record student goals/grades onto spreadsheets.</li><li>
Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES<ul><li>
Knowledge of accepted techniques and methods working with persons with disabilities.</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and perform mathematical calculations.</li><li>
Demonstrated general proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and with specialized computer-based equipment and software.</li><li>
Knowledge of all basic first aid methods, including CPR.</li><li>
Knowledge of specialized equipment used in the aid of children with special needs.</li><li>
Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.</li><li>
Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.</li><li>
Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies; including mandatory reporting procedures.</li></ul>
 QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Valid AZ teaching certificate or 60 semester hours of college / pass the Parapro Test</li><li>
Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (on-line training not accepted)</li><li>
Fingerprint Clearance</li><li>
Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements</li></ul>

Indoors, and outdoor environment, in all types of weather. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with students, staff and the public.

$250 recruitment stipend paid upon hire and $250 retention stipend paid after completion of 90 days **must meet position qualifications**
