Job descriptionJob description<ul><li>Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred</li><li>Anticipate guests&rsquo; needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests in a timely manner</li><li>Proficiency with computers</li><li>Basic math skills</li><li>Must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests</li><li>Guest Service Associates must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers</li><li>High School diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects</li><li>Ability to stand during entire shift</li><li>Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly</li><li>Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations</li><li>Maintain a complete knowledge of: hotel features/services, hours of operations, room rates, special packages and promotions, daily house count and expected arrivals/departures, and scheduled daily group activities.</li><li>Process all guest check-ins, and verify registration information with the guest</li><li>Handle overbooked or 'walked' guests</li><li>You will communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery)</li><li>Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with housekeeping\</li><li>Train with and learn Food and Beverage operations to fill in as needed</li></ul>DUTIES<ul><li>High standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working is required</li><li>Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard</li><li>Handle requests for information, mail and messages in an efficient and courteous manner</li><li>Answer guest inquiries about hotel service, facilities and hours of operation</li><li>Answer questions guests may have regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.</li><li>Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the hotel.</li><li>Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required</li><li>Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner</li><li>Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk including computer system</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
