This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your teaching skills across diverse educational settings.Duties<ul><li>MUST be comfortable tutoring math</li><li>Deliver tailored one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in all subject areas, with an emphasis on Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2</li><li>Develop customized lesson plans and curriculum materials that align with students&rsquo; individual learning needs and educational standards.</li><li>Utilize innovative learning technology tools to enhance understanding and engagement during lessons.</li><li>Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and informal evaluations; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.</li><li>Collaborate with educators and parents to support student success and address specific learning challenges or special education needs.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans for ongoing evaluation and reporting purposes.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelors degree required</li><li>Teaching Certification preffered</li><li>Proven experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at various levels; classroom experience is highly valued.</li><li>Background in STEM disciplines preffered.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children and adult learners from diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Proficiency with computer skills and educational technology platforms used for remote or hybrid instruction.</li><li>Familiarity with working with students who have special education needs or require early childhood education support.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for different age groups and learning styles; preschool experience or working with young children is a plus.</li></ul>Pay Scale<ul><li>Training is 2 weeks, about 20 hours total and is completed virtually, paid at a rate of $16/hr.</li><li>Post training pay jumps to $24 an hour for 30 days</li><li>After 30 days, we complete a performance evaluation and your pay will be adjusted again, not to exceed $30 an hour for 1-on-1 and $45 an hour for small group/ workshops</li><li>Every 60 days performance evaluations are completed and performance bonuses will be issued in lieu of pay raises</li><li>Travel stipend for days we require you to work in person</li></ul>Schedule Requirements<ul><li>This position requires working in person in downtown Sarasota at our office at least one day a week (Ideally Wednesdays but would love if you can also offer Mondays)</li><li>This position requires working from home in a quite environment to support students virtually</li></ul>Pay: $25.20 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
