Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 1st Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for education. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and growth. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help develop foundational skills in Bible, literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical development. As a 1st Grade Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of your students while promoting inclusive and engaging learning experiences.Duties<ul><li>Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote Christian values/world view, literacy, math skills, and early childhood development.</li><li>Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.</li><li>Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.</li><li>Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and school-wide initiatives.</li><li>Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants to promote professional growth within the school community.</li><li>Engage with parents through clear communication skills to discuss student progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones.</li><li>Support children with IEP's or 504's needs by adapting classroom strategies to ensure inclusive participation.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.</li><li>Proven classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques.</li><li>Experience with lesson planning and literacy education methodologies.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.</li><li>Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.</li><li>Experience working with children with special needs is advantageous.
