Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 1st Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for education. As a 1st Grade Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of your students while promoting inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
Duties
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote Christian values/world view, literacy, math skills, and early childhood development.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and school-wide initiatives.
- Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants to promote professional growth within the school community.
- Engage with parents through clear communication skills to discuss student progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones.
- Support children with IEP's or 504's needs by adapting classroom strategies to ensure inclusive participation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques.
- Experience with lesson planning and literacy education methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
